Measure Each Expert’s Expertise
eXpertScore objectively measures and ranks each product expert’s knowledge and influence — and allows experts to share their scores with consumers, brands, and retailers, and be recognized and rewarded for their expertise. eXperticity currently works with more 750,000 trusted product experts and in the last six years has measured more than 20 million trainings and almost a million purchases by experts in thousands of retail and industry organizations. This puts us in a unique position to measure expertise.
How is eXpertScore calculated?
It’s calculated by adding the total points an expert receives through activity in three key categories.
1. Professional & Organizational Affiliations
Retail Relationships Score: Experts receive points based on whether they work for a retailer and what position they hold with that retailer. For example, an expert who works directly with consumers receives higher points that an expert who works in the back office. If an expert stops working for a retailer, his or her points expire.
Active ProMotive Teams Score: Experts receive points for each ProMotive.com team they belong to. These points expire when the expert is no longer a member of a team.
Active Pro Teams Score: Experts receive points for each team they belong to on a Private Pro site (a private-label eXperticity site that provides product training and purchasing for industry pros). These points expire when the expert is no longer a member of a team.
2. Expertise and Knowledge Score
Training Completed Score: Experts receive one point for every unique training course they complete, plus an additional point for every season they complete a brand’s training. These points expire 30 days after the training module is updated, which means an expert must re-take a training module to recover these points.
3. Ownership and Hands-on Experience
Products Purchased Score: Experts receive one point for every approved order through an eXperticity platform. These points do not expire.
Each of these categories objectively measure how much knowledge an expert has gained. This allows brands, retailers, consumers, and other experts to see which experts have the highest scores and know who they can count on to provide objective, knowledgeable guidance to consumers on the best products for their needs. Various components of an eXpertScore can also be broken out by industry.
eXpertScore will also soon include each expert's Influence FactorTM. The Influence Factor will demostrate an expert's level of influence in both the online and offline world.
